Create the Automation Rule

Note: Selecting Software Schedule as the Trigger Type requires creating a Software Schedule. Create your schedule around any server or SQL maintenance that may occur in the Entré environment.

  1. Go to Configuration

  2. Select Automation Rules.

  3. Select Add.

  4. Name the Automation Rule.

  5. In Trigger, select New.

  6. Select the Trigger Type:

    • Period

    • Event

    • Manual

    • Software Schedule

  7. Press OK.

  8. In Actions, select Add.

  9. In Select Action Type, select CSV Import. Press OK.

  10. In Type, select Panel Import. If you do not see Panel Import as an option, ensure you have installed Entré Version 9.3 or higher.

  11. Select the Has header row checkbox to give your CSV file a header row.

  12. In Directory Path, enter the path your CSV is located. This location should also have a properties file named panel.csv.import.properties.

Note: The CSV file will be removed once processed. Before saving, ensure you have a copy of your original file.

  1. Press Save and Close.

Note: If any panels in the CSV file are rejected, they will be placed into a new file in the specified directory. The reject file name is the same as the uploaded CSV file but with .rej added to the file name.

  1. To manually trigger the Automation Driver, right-click Automation Driver and select Invoke Automation Rule.
